an island in the sun | @dawnbreaked

[ Compared to the ever-changing weather of Mondstadt, the Golden Apple Archipelago is ever-bright, ever-warm, an eternal summer isle in the middle of the ocean. It's taken the two of them the better part of a couple of days to get here, traveling first in the back of a drawn cart and then in a small waverider; and during the latter part of the journey she spent a lot of time on the deck, enjoying the light breeze in her hair and the scent of the salt in the air, the cresting of the waves in her ears.

Yes, the travel has been lovelyโ€” but the arrival is even better. Eula has never been here before, has never really taken a proper trip to a beach outside of reconnaissance missions that have led her to lesser shores than this perfect one. She's dressed accordingly, clothed in a two-piece swimsuit, a lightweight navy coat over her shoulders and a thin cloth wrapped around her hips in the same color, designed to protect her modesty from prying eyes during their travel here. Now, though, as her sandalled feet take quick, excited steps out onto the bright warmth of the sands, her hand framing her face against the bright heat of the sun, the cloth drifts open, revealing the length of her pale legs.

She turns mid-marvel, looking back at Diluc as he emerges from the waverider with their bags, and a slight embarrassment crosses her face even as she smiles at him, laughing at her own expense as she crosses back over the sand to reach for her things, a slight shake of her head her apology. ]

I'm sorry. I guess I got a little excited.
